With my project Solveig I want to focus on the topic of oral sex. First and foremost, I deal with my inhibitions and feelings of shame; besides that, I am also interested in the topic of oral sex and female sexual awareness in a social context.

As a child of the post-Soviet regime, I grew up in a society in which sex was a strictly forbidden taboo and was supposed to serve for reproduction purposes. Women in particular not only had to subordinate themselves to male sexuality but were also socially forced to be ashamed of their – female sexuality. In the society in which I grew up, oral sex was seen as unhygienic, derogatory and degrading. It was under no circumstances allowed to give a decent woman pleasure or joy.
Current social and educational beliefs have had a strong influence on my personality development and sexual awareness as a woman and have created many obstacles and inhibitions. My research serves me as a confrontation with the topic, as well as an individual liberation.
