“Common Boy” began as a simple song and evolved into a musical performance that boldly confronts the marginalization of female sexuality—on both a deeply personal and a societal level. It is an embodiment of an adult woman’s sexual dissatisfaction, needs, and desires in the  form of experimental poetry that transcends artistic disciplines, breaks taboos, and opens up a vast landscape of thoughts, questions, answers, and discussions.

The premiere of “Common Boy” took place on May 31, 2026. It was a wonderful evening and a truly special experience for me to present our piece to an audience for the first time. Not everything was perfect, but I am very satisfied with our work and proud of it—a huge thanks to my collaborator Cecilia Pez; without her creative and enthusiastic dedication, this would not have been possible!

Cecilia Pez—co-author, musical accompaniment, and vocalist, as well as a wonderful friend who encouraged and inspired me to bring this performance to life.

Many thanks to everyone who attended and, of course, to the “Flinta Literature” team for organizing this fantastic event, as well as to the other contributors (next to me: organizer Ioana Casapu, Ana Rocío Jouli, Victoria Hohmann, Celina Basra ( moderator), Juro), whose works moved and deeply inspired me.

Heartfelt thanks also to Eddie and Cocco Sophia Spengler, as well as to everyone who helped and supported us!
