I grew up in a sex-negative society; hardly anyone educated me about sex and sexuality—neither my family, nor my school, nor my wider social circle. Consequently, I never learned how to talk about sex or how to acknowledge and express my own sexual needs and desires. Instead, I was burdened with a deep sense of shame that has prevented me, throughout my entire life, from freely living out and enjoying my sexuality.

With the performance *Common Boy*, I break the silence within myself and confront societal taboos. It is a process of healing and liberation—one that is, at the same time, inextricably linked to a great deal of anger, frustration, and a sense of injustice. Through my own liberation, I wish to encourage and inspire other women (as well as people of all other genders)—who feel personally addressed by this subject—to consciously embrace their own sexuality and shape it according to their own terms.

The performance is currently still in the research and development phase; the premiere will take place on May 31, 2026, at the FLINTA Kultursalon. I would be absolutely delighted if you could join us!
